Children Classes

Our Classes: A Unique Three-Dimensional Methodology

Our classes at EMAS (Elissa Movement & Art Studio) run throughout the school academic year, offering engaging, progressive, and creative programmes for all ages. Each class is designed to nurture a love for movement and the arts, fostering self-expression, physical development, and confidence in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Our core programme blends technique with free expression, exploring rhythm, coordination, storytelling, strength, flexibility, and spatial awareness. We build confidence through drama and performance, integrate multiple disciplines into cohesive, expressive pieces, and offer workshops to dive deeper into specific skills or creative projects.

Every child who joins our main programme engages with our unique three-dimensional teaching methodology, which is deeply rooted in the E.L.I.S.S.A (Empowering Learning, Inspiring Self-expression through Art) philosophy.

Drama:  Using a wide range of exercises, such as exploring the four elements (water, air, earth, fire), trust-building activities, improvisation, and guided imaginary journeys children learn to connect with different energies and emotions. These activities help them understand, regulate, and channel their feelings in everyday life. Drama also fosters imagination, encouraging students to create vivid mental pictures, understand story structure, and develop a strong sense of purpose in their creative choices.

Movement & Acrobatics:  This dimension focuses on balancing strength and flexibility, allowing students to discover the full potential of their bodies. They learn how to transform into any character, creature, or object required in performance, developing physical versatility, coordination, and a deep sense of embodiment.

Dance: Dance teaches children to explore both rhythm and stillness, showing that movement does not have to follow a set beat or specific music. Rhythm can be found in any sound, from nature to spoken word, encouraging students to connect with the world around them and express themselves through a wide variety of movement styles.

What makes EMAS unique is the way these three dimensions are united into one cohesive learning journey. Drama shapes emotional awareness and imagination, Movement & Acrobatics develops physical potential and adaptability, and Dance refines rhythm, flow, and expression. Together, they create a holistic pedagogy where mind, body, and creativity work in harmony rooted in the E.L.I.S.S.A philosophy of teaching and brought to life in every class.

Classes Bubbles

(Ages 4–6)

Children at this age are like colorful bubbles—vibrant, free, and full of life. Inspired by the abstract beauty of movement and the colorful works of Rafiye Karaca, they drift and float through their world, exploring without bounds. Each child is a burst of brilliance and spontaneity, encouraged to shine in their own unique way while embracing joy and creativity.

Classes Comets

(Ages 6–12)

Like comets blazing across the sky, these young stars are filled with focused energy, creating shapes and setting their own goals. They burn with purpose, their bright light guiding them forward. We help them find their direction, aim high, and navigate their journey, ensuring their brilliance shines throughout the process of growth and achievement.

Classes Teen Pathfinders

(Ages 13–17)

The final stage before adulthood, this group offers a unique chance to deepen teens’ love and appreciation for their bodies and their creative spirit. Through a mix of challenges, collaborative projects, and joyful exploration, participants develop skills and confidence without the pressure of competition. The focus is on personal progression, meaningful connections, and keeping the spark of creativity alive into adult life.

Classes Advanced Performance Group

 (By Invitation Only)

A select group designed for those ready to move beyond recreational learning into an advanced, performance-focused pathway. Entry is by invitation, offering additional training hours each week. This group is for children and families seeking a deeper commitment to the art form, with a focus on refining skills, building stage presence, and preparing for performance opportunities. It’s where dedication meets artistry, guiding young performers toward their highest potential.

Classes Parents & Toddlers Movement Group

(Ages 13–17)

A unique class designed for parents and their little ones, focusing on safe exploration through movement. This program empowers parents with the knowledge and confidence to support their children in developing physical skills while encouraging independence. Together, we explore playful activities that prepare children for safe risk-taking whether at the playground or during everyday adventures without unnecessarily restricting their curiosity or limiting their sense of exploration.
